After Donald Trump won the presidential election, Arnold Schwarzenegger took over for him as host of the Celebrity Apprentice. Soon afterwards, Schwarzenegger started a public feud with Trump in a pathetic attempt to earn himself ratings.
Unfortunately for Schwarzenegger, however, the situation did not end well for him.
The Wrap reported that last night’s Celebrity Apprentice finale came in dead last in the ratings among the Big 4 broadcasters at 9 p.m. ET. The ratings for the finale tied a previous episode for the series low.
The audience for the finale also marked the lowest overall audience total to date.
This proves Trump was right when he said Schwarzenegger was a much worse host of the reality show than he was.
“When I ran for president I knew I had to leave the show [The Celebrity Apprentice], that’s when I knew for sure I was doing it,” Trump said. “And they hired a big, big movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger to take my place, and we know how that turned out. Ratings went right down the tubes, it’s been a total disaster, and Mark will never, ever bet against Trump again. And I want to just pray for Arnold if we can, for those ratings.”
Schwarzenegger fired back by saying, “Hey Donald, I have an idea. Why don’t we switch jobs? Since you’re such an expert in ratings, then people can finally sleep comfortably again.”
Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger did a really bad job as Governor of California and even worse on the Apprentice…but at least he tried hard!
