A man who was arrested for brutally murdering a UPS driver is now saying that he committed his crime because he thought he was killing President-Elect Donald Trump himself.
Daily Caller reported that 38 year-old Justin Barkley of Ithaca, New York has been arrested and charged with fatally shooting William Schumacher in a Wal-Mart parking lot Dec. 8. When he was arraigned on Monday, Barkley shocked everyone by telling the court that killed Trump, not Schumacher, when he entered his guilty plea.
“I shot and killed Donald Trump purposely, intentionally and very proudly,” Barkley said at the hearing, according to The Ithaca Voice.
When pressed by the judge, Barkley claimed that he knew the difference between killing a person he thought was Trump and murdering Trump himself, but he then said he is sure that Trump is dead. When asked if anyone could convince him otherwise, Barkley responded, “I hope not.”
The judge presiding over the case then refused Barkley’s guilty plea and instead ordered him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to determine whether he is even fit to stand trial. He is facing 25 years in prison if he is convicted.
This comes after liberals have spent weeks urging people to do whatever it takes to stop Trump from becoming president. If they don’t stop this nonsense, some deranged person might actually be successful in assassinating Trump before he is even elected…
