Legendary Hollywood Actor Dies Suddenly – America Devastated

Americans everywhere are in mourning this week after Emmy nominated actor Mark LaMura, who was best known for his role as Mark Dalton on “All My Children,” passed away on Monday. He was 68 years-old.

Fox News reported that LaMura died of lung cancer.

LaMura starred on “All My Children” from 1977 to 1989 and made occasional guest appearances through the ’90s. His character was the brother of was the brother of Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane, and the actress paid tribute to him on Instagram this week.

“How can this be? I just received the shocking and deeply saddening news that wonderful Mark LaMura has passed away!” Lucci wrote. “Mark played my brother Mark on All My Children–he was such a talented and accomplished actor/ a bright and charming presence in all our AMC lives–and a really great guy. Mark was loved and he will be missed! RIP, my friend.”

LaMura also had roles on shows like “Star Trek,” “30 Rock,” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” In addition, he appeared in several theatrical productions, Shakespearean plays and “The Rise Of Dorothy Hale.”
