Megyn Kelly shocked everyone earlier this week when she announced that she will be leaving Fox News to take a job at NBC News. Since her last day at the network will be on Friday, executives are already clamoring to find her replacement for the coveted primetime time slot her show currently holds.
Now, Mediaite has conducted a poll asking fans who they want to replace Kelly on Fox, and the people have spoken. Coming in first place with 26.78% of the vote, was conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, who scored over 10,000 votes.
Ingraham has long been a staple of the conservative world and was even considered to become Donald Trump’s Press Secretary. This means she would fit what the network is looking for, as insiders say Fox executives want to find a “conservative, Trump-supporting woman” to fill Kelly’s slot. Clearly, they are trying to avoid the fiasco of the past year that saw Kelly alienate millions of Fox News fans as she tried to appeal to mainstream audiences.
The only other person who came close to Ingraham in the poll was Tomi Lahren, who got 18.89% of the vote. At only 24 years-old, Lahren has already become a staple in the conservative media world, and she is known for ALWAYS telling it like it is. As the host of On Point with Tomi Lahren on One America News Network (OAN), Lahren is known for her rants against everyone from Barack Obama to race-baiting celebrities.
